Pacifica Arts Centre

Yesterday morning we went to Corbans Art Centre. We made head bands. It was fun making the head bands.

On Thursday morning, Rooms 11, 9 and 8 went to Corbans Art Centre. My favourite part was when we were all dancing and playing the drums. The ladies there are really nice.

On Thursday 9th of June, Waterview Primary school went on an art trip. I was very happy. We made head bands that were red and blue. I enjoyed it a lot.

I went to Corbans Art Estate. The leader welcomed us, in many different Pacific languages. After that we had morning tea. My favourite bit was the drumming and dancing.

On Thursday we went to the Art Centre. My favourite part was the dancing and the drumming. When the lady played the drum it was very loud. We had fun there.

On the 9th of June we went to the Corbans Art Centre. We had fun. We did some dancing, played the drums and made head bands. We learnt how to say hello in different languages.

On Thursday 9th of June we went to the Corbans Art Centre. Aunty Tu welcomed us with Pacific words. She taught us how to say them. Then Room 8 and half of Room 9 went next door to make head bands, while Room 11 and the rest of Room 9 learnt a Pacific dance.

My school went to the Corbans Art Centre. My favourite part was making the head bands. The colours were blue and orange. You had to plait them by going over and under. It looked awesome when it was finished.

On Thursday 9th of June we went to the Pacifica Arts Centre. We made a head band and we did some dancing. The boys and girls did different actions.

We made a head band and also played the drums. They taught how to say hello in different languages. That was so much fun!

Yesterday on Thursday 9th of June, we were at the Pacifica Art Centre. We learnt how to greet people in Tongan, Samoan, Hawaiian, Fijian, Niuean. I liked saying “Aloha”. We learnt how to play the drums. The adults helped us to play. We learnt a Pacific dance. After that we made head bands for our heads.

On Thursday we went to the Art Centre. We learnt some new ways to say hello, like “Bula” and “Malo e lelei”. We also made head bands and danced.

My school went to Corbans Art Centre. My favourite part was when we went to do some weaving. We were making a head lace. The girls wore flowers or bows and the boys had rat’s tails. That is my report of the Corbans Art Centre.

On Thursday 9th of June I went to the Corbans Pacifica Art Centre. When we went a lady welcomed us with different greetings from the Pacific Islands. She was the leader. Some greetings were “Aloha, Bula, Bula Vinaka, Fakalofa Lahi Atu, Malo e lelei” and many more. After that she split us into two groups, Room 11 and half of room 9 and Room 8 and half of room 9 again, to do weaving and dancing.

On Thursday 9th of June, my school went on a trip to the Corbans Art Centre. We did some lovely dancing, we also played some instruments and we made head bands. The tigers had red and white headbands and the lions had blue and red. I was a lion.

Yesterday we went to the Corbans Art Centre. We made head bands out of blue and red plastic. Girls can wear flower bands.
